MES Faculty Seminar Series - 12th September, 2014
A Faculty Seminar Series under the aegis of MES Research Forum was conducted on 12th September, 2014 at Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus. Twelve research papers in the diverse fields of Education, Literature, Science, Biotechnology, Applied Chemistry, Electronics, Architecture etc. were presented by faculty members of the various institutions of Mahatma Education Society. Dr. Faiyaz Gadiwalla, a reputed academician was the Chief Guest of the Seminar and delivered the key note address. Dr. Daphne Pillai delivered the welcome address. Dr. P. S. Goyal, Professor at PIIT also presented his research work conducted at the Photon factory in Japan.
The moderators for Session I and II were Dr. Faiyaz Gadiwalla and Dr. Arif Merchant, Dr. P. S. Goyal and Dr. Madhumita Chatterji moderated Session III. The seminar was co-ordinated by Dr. Celina Joy, Chairperson, MES Research Forum.
MES Faculty Seminar Series - 27th September, 2013
Dr. Daphne Pillai, Founder of the MES Research Forum, stressed on the importance of Research to keep our institutions intellectually strong and vibrant.
Prof. Celina Joy, Chairperson of the MES Research Forum welcomed all the delegates.
Prof. Smita Dalvi, a Fullbright scholar and the former Chairperson of the MES Research Forum was the Chief Guest. Prof. Dalvi spoke about a collaborative effort towards conducting research in inter-disciplinary areas and developing a professional attitude towards research.
A compendium of research papers compiled by Dr. Kaustubh Sontakke and Prof. Aditya Sontakke (Professors at PiMSR and PHiMSR respectively) was released by Dr. Daphne Pillai.
Workshop on "A Practical Approach to Research" - 24th and 25th June, 2013
About 40 participants from the various institutions of Mahatma Education Society attended the workshop. Dr. Gupta covered all the practical aspects of conducting research and gave a detailed presentation on writing a Research Proposal.
Faculty Seminar Series - 28th September, 2012
15 research papers in the fields of engineering, biotechnology, education, architechture and management were presented by budding researchers and faculty members from the various institutions of MES. Mr. K. S. Parthasarathy, Ex-Secretary, Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, Government of India was the Chief Guest. The seminar was attended by the representatives of the MES Management Board, Heads of Institutions and many faculty members.
