Jumble Sale 2018, Panvel  
Students of PiMSR actively supported the Jumble Sale organized by the SIBC members on 12th October, 2018 at Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus, Panvel. Around 200 people from nearby slums along with the helpers from the Panvel campus attended the sale. The sale had clothes, bedsheets, shoes, bags, toys and other household items collected by the SIBC members for sale at marginal prices starting from Rs. 5 to Rs. 200. The funds raised from the event will be used for the various social welfare activities of SIBC. The unsold items at the end of the day are donated to the SEAL Ashram in Navi Mumbai. The event was co-ordinated by Dr. Celina Joy, Ms. Munawira Kotyad and Dr. Betty Sibil.

MUDITA; Funfair 2018  
Funfair 2018 was organised in September 2018. Its the annual fundraising activity of the Social Service Committee of PiMSR. The funds collected on this day are utilised for the Joy of Giving week and to conduct other social service activities throughout the year.

SNEHA - Personal Development and Pre-Vocational Skills Training for Underprivileged Girl Students pursuing the Nurse Aide Programme  
August - November 2018
Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research in association with SI BOMBAY CHEMBUR conducted Personal development workshops and pre-vocational skills training for underprivileged girl students enrolled in the Nurse Aide Programme at Society for Nutrition, Education and Health Action (SNEHA). This initiative aims to train nurse-aids with a set of skills which will help them in developing their personality and attitude. The program touched upon topics like Grooming and Etiquette, Time, Anger and Stress Management, Body Language, Communication, How to prepare for an Interview and Spoken English. It was conducted over a three month period spanning September to November, 2018 at the SNEHA center at Santacruz. More than 40 participants benefited from this initiative.
